Michael S. Victoroff, MD, is President of Recall,
Inc., a clinical informatics consulting firm. Dr.
Victoroff is also the Risk Management Consultant
for Health Information Technology at COPIC, Inc.;
Chief Medical Officer at Lynx Collaborative Care
Network; and Medical Advisor at Amara Healthcare
Analytics. He was in the first group of physicians to
become board certified in Clinical Informatics; he is
also board certified in Family Medicine. In 1989, Dr.
Victoroff developed ChartR®, an electronic medical
record system for ambulatory practices, and sold
it commercially for 8 years. As Risk Management
Consultant for COPIC, he developed A Taxonomy of
Medical Error, a coding system for patient safety
events that has been used in Federally-funded
patient safety research. He was a founding member
of the National Patient Safety Foundation, and has
worked with COPIC, the ECRI Institute, the Canadian
Medical Protective Association, State Volunteer
Mutual Insurance Company and other organizations
to analyze the safety and effectiveness of health
information technology.
Henry L. Mayers, MCP, PMP, FHIMSS, CPHIMS,
Henry Mayers, as President of Relia TechConsulting,
LLC, has led strategic planning on, and
implementation of, a wide array of business-enhancing information technologies in government,
banking, manufacturing and insurance. Fifteen
of those years have focused on implementation
of health IT in health insurance, in-patient care,
hospital ancillaries, and ambulatory settings.
Care coordination and transitions have been, and
remain, a professional focus of Mayers’ since the
1970s when he led a number of pilot programs in
discharge planning and information and referral. He
also co-developed early need assessment models
for activities of daily living (ADL) services. Mayers
has been engaged in helping physicians better
understand the nature and opportunities inherent in
health IT. A more recent additional focus for Mayers
is the expansion of the health IT workforce. He is
the past Program Chair for the Michigan Chapter
of HIMSS and recently served as Co-Chair of the
HIMSS Care Coordination Task Force.
Antonio P. Linares, MD, FAAFP, is the Regional VP,
Medical Director for Anthem Blue Cross. He provides
medical leadership in care management, wellness
strategies, and population based care including
clinical informatics support for National Accounts
and large employer groups in the West region. He
supports Enterprise initiatives as a clinical thought
leader and drives innovative total cost management
solutions for the National Account sales team. Prior
to joining Anthem Blue Cross, Dr. Linares served as
the Vice President for Medical Affairs at Lumetra
where he led a national effort to accelerate the
adoption of EHRs by physician practices under
contract with Medicare. Over the past 25 years
he has served in diverse leadership roles which
include the founding medical director for California’s
Department of Managed Health Care to oversee
quality for all HMOs in California. He also served
as the VP and medical director for Cigna corporate
Medical Action Plans (MAP), the local medical
director for Aetna Healthcare in San Diego and the
founding CMO for OSF Healthcare System in Illinois.
